I enjoy exploring how molecular biology concepts translate into real-world applications, especially in healthcare and biomedical research. In the future, I intend to pursue medical school.

๐ Research Project: Improving the Effective Fragmentation Potential (EFP) Method for Organic/Inorganic Systems
Research Focus: Evaluation of Effective Fragmentation Potentials for Solvated Metal IonโAmino Acid Systems
Description: This project focuses on developing machine learning enhanced computational models for metal protein interactions, which play important roles in biological systems such as enzyme function and molecular recognition. Traditional quantum mechanical (QM) methods provide high accuracy but are computationally expensive for larger biomolecular systems. Using Effective Fragment Potential (EFP) methods, solvated metal ion and amino acid fragments were generated to create efficient models that maintain accuracy while reducing computational cost.
